Resin Coated Ceramic Sand
Description
The ceramic sand is used in the molding sand and core sand to make the shell mold and shell core have the properties of high temperature resistance, low expansion, easy collapse, and low gas output, which can effectively prevent expansion defects in castings. For cores with particularly complex shapes, can deal with the problem that sand shooting is not easy to compact. It is the ceramic sand applicate in RCS process.
Full ceramic sand is used to make coated sand, and reused repeatedly after reclamation, which can effectively improve the quality and production efficiency of castings, reduce the castings scrape rate and the production cost of enterprises, the long-term use cost is lower than that of silica sand. Therefore, in recent years, almost all large-scale coated sand plants have used ceramic sand as raw sand to produce coated sand.
Features
• Higher refractoriness—-to cast metals with high pouring temperature (cast steel, alloyed cast steel, stainless steel, etc.)
• High strength and toughness—–to produce more complicated cores with thin sections.
• Lower thermal expansion—–to avoid expansion defects.
• Higher reclamation yields—-to reduce waste sand disposal, to decline costs.
• Excellent flowability —–to make complicated cores.
• Lower binder consumption—–lower gas evolution, lower manufacturing costs.
• Inert chemical characteristics—–can applied in any popular alloys, includes Manganese steel.
• Longer storage period.
